Normally, I run the Rogue River in Oregon in October, but this year people didn't have time for that. Luckily, I was invited on a trip on the Mckenzie and Metolius rivers, also in Oregon. I had run both of these rivers back in 1992, and I always wanted to get back for another run. I met a great group of people and had a great time on this trip. This first run was on the Mckenzie from Ollalie Campground down past Paradise (which was closed) to a roadside access point.
